On Sunday the 9th of October I ran my first half marathon (21.1km) as part of the Marathon Festival. It was a great day for running - cold with a touch of rain at the end. On the 8th I had 3m, there were 6 girls invited to compete in this event. We had preliminaries and finals, do 5 dives each time, however the scores for all ten dives count towards the end result. The World Championships were held in Melbourne from the 17th of March to the 1st of April. The diving program was from the 19th to the 26th of March. There was over 200 divers competing from 40 countries. The Australia Diving team was: Alex Croak, Peter Hill, Grant Nel, Scott Robertson, Sharleen Stratton, Melissa Wu and me. The AIS Diving team flew down to Melbourne for the National Championships on the 8th of January. Before competition started we had a few days of training. On the 7th of May 2006, the Australian Diving team headed off to Fort Lauderdale in Florida for the US leg of the Grand Prix circuit. On the 18th of March 2006, the Aussie diving team finally headed down to Melbourne and to the Commonwealth Games Village. We were the last of the Australian teams to move into the village. The diving team were all put into a big house, it's was great! It had 6 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and a lounge room. Finally after 4 1/2 years I finished my double degree at Deakin University. On Friday the 5th of August 2005, we headed off to Izmir, Turkey.
